I have been a computer consultant for about 11 years. It is a privilege to make recommendations to my clients. One of my philosophies has been to never recommend something I have not used myself. Sometimes this is impossible. However when it comes to laptop computers I feel it is very important to have had some hands on experience with what I recommend. One thing I recommend across the board. Whether a client purchases IBM, Dell, Lenovo, HP or others... get an upgraded three year warranty with ONSITE repair. Preferably next business day. The peace of mind is worth it, the resale value is enhanced if there is some original warranty left, and if it is necessary to use the warranty even once you will be truly thankful that you have it.
